TWIGA Сommunication Group was founded in 1993 by Alexander and Karina Ogandzhanyan.
«TWIGA» in swahili means “giraffe” - an animal that embodies grace, beauty and foresight for African tribes because, being tall, it can see much farther than other specimens of the local fauna.
As for the African language itself, it has been part and parcel of the life of the company's founders since the diplomatic stint of Alexander Ogandzhanyan, President of TWIGA CG, with the USSR embassy in Tanzania.
